Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine checked corn cereal and pretzels. Set aside.
In a small bowl, stir together the butter, parsley and garlic powder.
Pour butter mixture over the cereal and pretzel mix and gently toss until all is coated and combined. Add grated Parmigiano Reggiano and combine well.
Spread evenly on a foil-lined baking tray and bake approximately 10 minutes. Remove and allow to cool completely.
Add popcorn and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano.
