RECIPE Panko and Parmigiano Reggiano Green Beans

Ingredients
  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • ¾ cup panko bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 Parmigiano Reggiano, shredded plus more for serving
  • Salt and pepper
PREPARATION
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Prepare three medium bowls for dredging. For the first bowl combine flour, salt, and pepper. Next crack one egg into the second bowl and lightly whisk. For the third bowl combine bread crumbs, Parmigiano Reggiano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. Dredge green beans in flour, egg wash, and lastly bread crumb mixture. Place coated green beans on baking tray in single layer.

  4. Drizzle olive oil evenly on green beans and bake approximately 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
